The BelNET Portal User Personal Data Processing Policy has been published

This Policy on the Processing of Personal Data of Users of the Scientific and Educational Nuclear Knowledge Portal of the Republic of Belarus BelNET (hereinafter referred to as the Policy) has been developed in compliance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 99-Z "On the Protection of Personal Data" of May 7, 2021, in order to protect the personal data of BelNET portal users who are data subjects.

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure adequate protection of personal data, rights, and freedoms of individuals when processing their personal data related to the posting of their materials on the BelNET Portal.

The BelNET portal was created by the Research Institute for Nuclear Problems of the Belarusian State University and is subject to the Personal Data Processing Policy approved by Order No. 711-OD of the BSU Rector dated December 29, 2021, as amended by Order No. 752-OD of the BSU Rector dated December 15, 2023, as amended on February 9, 2024, which is publicly available on the BSU website at https://bsu.by. According to this Policy, BSU is the operator of personal data processing on the websites of BSU departments.

The BelNET portal uses (collects, stores, and distributes through the publication of user materials on the portal) a minimal amount of personal data of its users (last name, first name, patronymic, email address, place of work, image of the personal data subject, and other information) and does not transfer this data to third parties. By deleting their personal account on the portal, the user automatically deletes all their personal data. Personal data is retained until the archived copy of the portal is transferred to the archive, until the data subject requests the cessation of the processing of the disclosed personal data, or until such time as the data subject requests its deletion in the absence of other grounds for processing the personal data stipulated by the Law and other legislative acts.

The data subject's consent to the processing of personal data must be obtained electronically upon registration of a new user on the portal.

The BelNET portal does not collect, store, or use the personal data of its readers who use the portal without registration.
